Nearly twenty-five thousand residences in Queensland's southeast were left experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after powerful weather events impacted the area, generating powerful gusts topping 109km/h.
Substantial Hailstones and Extensive Damage
Locals reported substantial frozen pellets reaching sizes of 7cm in some areas. Weather authorities confirmed that various areas across the state had been hit with large hailstones.

Emergency response teams handled over five hundred emergency reports across the region, mostly for building damage but also for collapsed vegetation and inundation.

Tuesday was forecast to be the most rainy day, with continued thunderstorm potential expected across various areas of both states.
